Charley Griswell Senior Center\n2300 Hwy 138 SE\nJonesboro\, GA 30236 \nThank you for your interest in attending free computer training at the Sonna Singleton Gregory Senior Center. This course will explore various computer-based topics each week\, such as the basics of navigating your PC\, laptop\, Apple iPhone and Apple iPad\, as well as provide you with tips on protecting your digital identity\, covering topics like cybersecurity\, email security\, web browsing\, and overall internet safety. Our goal is to help you to gain confidence in utilizing technology and digital devices safely.  This will be a hands-on learning experience. You are encouraged to bring your own devices. Laptops will be available to utilize during training\, if needed. Registration if free for all Clayton County Senior Center members at https://myactivecenter.com/. \nPLEASE NOTE: This course will familiarize you with operating Windows based computers and laptops and Apple iPhones and iPads\, not Android or Google devices or MacBooks.

SUMMARY:GM Motorsports STEM Accelerator
DESCRIPTION:Technology Services & Training Center\n9181 Poston Road\nJonesboro\, GA 30238 \nCalling all STEM students! 📢📢📢 We are SOOOOOOOO excited to partner with local nonprofit organization\, Seven & Grace\, to bring a very unique experience to our youth. With the Atlanta Motor Speedway literally in our back yard\, this STEM experience will expose and train 10 Clayton County youth to various aspects of the motorsports industry\, including physics\, AI\, engineering and technolgy\, immersing them in the world of NASCAR. Participants will be trained from official curriculum created by General Motors and NASCAR driver Rajah Caruth. \nThis program will begin the week of June 15th (official schedule to be announced). Training will be held twice a week for 6-8 weeks at our Technology Services & Training Center. It is COMPLETELY FREE for Clayton County students to participate (middle school\, high school and college). All participants must have relaibe transportation to and from the training center. Proof of residency will be required. There are 50 metro Atlanta students participating\, with 10 coming from Clayton County. Participants will be provided with a supply kit\, hands-on curriculum materials\, access to Microsoft Copilot\, and a ticket to a NASCAR race in July for the top participating students. \nPlease email the Office of Digital Equity at digital.equity@claytoncountyga.gov or call 770-347-0249 for questions and/or additional information.
